Born in 1963 in Italy, received the violin diploma in 1985 studying under Maestro Giovanni Leone at the Conservatorium of Music "S.Pietro a Majella" in Naples. Later became student in Rome of Maestro Riccardo Brengola, one of the most prominent teacher of Violin and Chamber Music around the world and first violin of the acclaimed “Quintetto Chigiano”. His studies continued in Brengola`s violin class at the National Academy of "S. Cecilia" in Rome.

 

Participated in the following International Courses of Violin Perfection:

● Course of “Alto Perfezionamento Internazionale di Violino e Musica da Camera” at the “Accademia Musicale Chigiana” in Siena ( Italy)

● Course of “Alto Perfezionamento Internazionale di Violin e Musica da Camera” at the Accademia Musicale “Il Delfino” in S.Margherita Ligure ( Italy)

● Course of “Alto Perfezionamento Internazionale di Violino” at the Accademia Nazionale di “S.Cecilia” in Rome ( Italy)

 

For each of the above courses received diplomas of merit and also participated in premier concerts in Italy and overseas. First prize winner at the National Violin Competition “Panartis” in Cosenza (Italy). Finalist at the International Violin Competition in Viterbo (Italy).

 

Performed, as first violin and assistant concertmaster, with many symphonic orchestras all over the world for over 30 years:

From 1998 to 2000 he served as Assistant Concertmaster at the "Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano" (Italy).

 

As chamber musician he also traveled and performed around the world:

● The “Hong Kong String Quartet”
● The "Nuovo Quintetto Chigiano" in Siena

The teaching career was also developed during these years. The major appointments were:
● “Accademia Nazionale di S.Cecilia" as assistant of Maestro Riccardo Brengola
● “Academy of Performing Art” in Hong Kong.
● Long experience of private teaching to young and advanced students around the world.

 

In the year 2000 was appointed “Assistant Artistic Director” of the Chamber Music Season 2001/2002, at the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano ( Italy) supported and encouraged by Maestro Riccardo Chailly and Luigi Corbani, the General Manager of the orchestra. These important appointments marked the beginning of his new activity as Promoter of Cultural Events around the world. 

 

In 2007 was appointed Artistic Director of the “Tokyo Concert Association” in Hachioji (Japan).

 

From 2018 he is the Artistic Director of the "Associazione Italo Giapponese" in Kyoto.
