Lutherie & Galileo Art Society​

 

In Luca Galileo Ciuffoletti Desiderio’s vision, lutherie is a place where form and spirit meet — a discipline in which sound shapes form, and form becomes sound. A string instrument is not an object but an architecture of resonance, revealing the eternal within time. This is the foundation of his philosophy of resonance: art as revelation rather than creation. Through the Galileo Art Society (GALIAS), this tradition is preserved and renewed by connecting the historic centers of Italian violin making with the musical cultures of Asia. The Nakagawa–Ciuffoletti Art Collection furthers this mission by curating historical and contemporary instruments, documents, and tools that illuminate the dialogue between craftsmanship, performance, and thought.
